A little about my story...
I studied chemistry and worked in research and quality control laboratories for more than 15 years. I have always loved photography, and even had my own darkroom when I was in high school. I joined the photography club in university too. I learned photography using fully manual cameras (old school) — no automatic settings! In 1999, I switched over to digital photography and today I shoot both digital and film.
I moved from Toronto to Vancouver in 2006, and was inspired by the natural beauty of the West Coast — mountains, forests, ocean — and wanted to learn how to better capture that beauty in photographs. In 2007, I enrolled in the Langara Photography Certificate program where I took courses such as Advanced Studio Lighting, Portraiture, Commercial Photography, Fashion Photography, Editorial Photography, Photographic Art History, Composition and Design, Conceptual Photography and Photoshop. After 3 years of study and intense practice, I completed the program in 2010. During that time, I learned that I loved photographing people, creating images that thrill my clients.

How much will it cost?
Although price is a factor when you choose a photographer, style and vision is much more important. Each photographer is different, and it is not a simple matter of comparing prices! Choose the photographer whose work you love, and then look at the prices. You will most likely find that you are willing to pay a little more for the photography that you really love!
I prefer to spend some time (about one hour — in person ideally) to get to know you and find out what sort of photography you love. That way I can tailor the session to your needs and make sure you will be thrilled with the images! While we have a chat over coffee, we can also discuss the different options. By the way, the chat is free and you are not obligated to book with me. It's an opportunity for you to learn more and help you to choose a photographer.
